Ava Rampersad

Executive Director, Family Planning Association of Trinidad and Tobago

Ava Rampersad is the Executive Director of the rights-based civil society organization, the Family Planning Association of Trinidad and Tobago (FPATT), and she is a Director on the Board of the Trinidad and Tobago Non-Communicable Disease Alliance (TTNCDA). Described as a passionate advocate and thought leader who stays at the forefront of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), she empowers healthcare professionals, community activists, young persons, members of traditional marginalised, and excluded communities, to effectively address SRHR issues within their respective contexts. Ava believes in the power of knowledge, learning, open dialogue, innovation, and critical thinking to break down stigmas and ensure that improved health and wellbeing is widely accessible.
