CCLCS Celebrates 60 Years of Excellence and Impact

For six decades, the Cipriani College of Labour and Co-operative Studies (CCLCS) has stood as a beacon of education, advocacy, leadership, and social transformation, empowering generations of students, workers, cooperators, and community leaders throughout Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean. As we celebrate our 60th Anniversary, we proudly reflect on a rich history rooted in the pursuit of social justice, equity, lifelong learning, and national development. This milestone serves not only as an opportunity to honour the visionaries, educators, and stakeholders who shaped our institution, but also to recognize the countless individuals whose lives have been transformed through the College’s programmes and initiatives.

To commemorate this significant occasion, CCLCS is proud to launch a special digital storytelling series that chronicles our journey and impact over the years. Through The Foundations of Change, we revisit the origins of the College and the pioneering efforts that established its enduring legacy. Voices of the Past will showcase the experiences and reflections of former students, staff, and partners whose contributions helped shape the institution’s development. Innovators of Today highlights the dynamic individuals and initiatives currently driving progress and innovation within the College and the communities we serve. Finally, A Legacy of Social Justice explores the College’s longstanding commitment to advancing workers’ rights, cooperative development, social equity, and community empowerment. Together, these stories celebrate our past, recognize our present achievements, and inspire a future built on the same principles that have guided CCLCS for 60 remarkable years.
