Dr Raymond Mark Kirton

Mark Kirton is a citizen of Guyana and is the holder of a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Government and International Affairs. He worked at the University of Guyana for over three decades and served as Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences. He most recently served as Senior Lecturer and Director (ag.) at the Institute of International Relations, The University of The West Indies, St. Augustine.

He has published several journal articles and chapters in refereed publications and has co-edited ‘Governance, Conflict Analysis and Conflict Resolution ‘ ( with Dr. Cedric Grant) and ‘Selected Essays on Contemporary Caribbean Issues : An International Relations Perspective ‘( with Dr. Marlon Anatol ). He also co- authored, with Dr. Khellon Roach ‘ A history of the Institute of International Relations’ and his current research interests include regional integration, conflict management and Latin American politics and government.
