Christal Benjamin – Disaster Risk Management Consultant

 

Christal Benjamin is a Disaster Risk Management Consultant based in Trinidad and Tobago. She holds a Master’s Degree in Disasters, Adaptation and Development from King’s College London and a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography and Environmental and Natural Resource Management from the University of the West Indies. 

Over the past six years, Ms. Benjamin has worked on several research studies, projects and initiatives focused on comprehensive disaster and climate risk management in Latin America and the Caribbean. From 2021-2023 she worked at the Association of Caribbean States, where she contributed to the strengthening of the disaster risk reduction thematic area. She is affiliated with the Anticipation Hub and is a member of the Risk-Informed Early Action Partnership (REAP) Early Warnings Initiative Working Group.
