Marisa Bhawanie White – Director of the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Department, Tobago House of Assembly (THA)

Adept in the field of OSH she has worked within the THA from 2012 previously holding the positions of OSH Officer II and Senior OSH Officer. An esteemed professional she boasts 17 years of Experience working in the field of OSH. Marisa also holds under her belt 17 years of lecturing experience as she has shared her wealth of knowledge at tertiary-level institutions namely the Cipriani College of Labour and Co-operative Studies, the University of the West Indies (UWI) and the University of Trinidad and Tobago.

A scholar in her own right she possesses a BSc. Environmental and Natural Resource Management

from UWI and a MSc. in Occupational Safety and Health from the University of Greenwich. Always in pursuit of excellence, Mrs. Bhawanie White recently achieved accreditation as a Certified ISO45001 Lead Auditor and is currently serving as a Member on the Board of the Occupational Safety and Health Authority.
