Enhancing Co-operative Excellence: Technical Co-operation with IICA
Cipriani College of Labour and Co-operative Studies (CCLCS), in partnership with the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture, convened a Technical Co-operation Session for Agricultural Co-operatives, bringing together key stakeholders to strengthen the foundation and future of the co-operative sector. This engagement created a dynamic space for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and practical insight, focused on addressing the evolving needs of agricultural co-operatives in a competitive and rapidly changing environment.
The occasion also marked the formal establishment of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between CCLCS and IICA, setting the stage for a structured and strategic collaboration. This agreement provides a framework to deliver targeted support to agricultural co-operatives through a suite of specialized services aimed at strengthening governance, improving management practices, and enhancing leadership capacity.
Through this partnership, both institutions are committed to equipping co-operatives with the tools and expertise needed to better serve their members, while driving key actions to build technical agricultural capacity. By aligning training and support with the core purpose of co-operatives, the initiative seeks to improve operational effectiveness, foster sustainability, and enhance market competitiveness.
Together, CCLCS and IICA are advancing a shared vision of resilient, well-managed agricultural co-operatives—capable of delivering greater value to their members and contributing meaningfully to national and regional development.
