Introduction to Human Resource Management

 Human Resource Management is a field of study that is aimed at improving organizational efficiency by utilizing the organization’s human resources efficiently.  Since it is a management discipline in an ever – changing world of work, this course seeks to introduce the discipline through individual, group and organizational perspectives and principles.

This is a major resource to manage in any organization and therefore there must be a sound knowledge base to deal with the unpredictable behaviors of people.  The success of an organization can be impinged upon if the individual and general human element is not handled efficiently.  This course, therefore offers an opportunity to understand individuals and groups as they relate to the organization and its Human Resource functions.
