Admissions evaluates and assesses applicant files and independently make admission decisions for undergraduate, domestic, and international students. Provides information and assistance to departments and prospective students and conduct recruitment and orientation sessions in various communities.

APPLICATION PROCESS-

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND GUIDELINES

Admission to CCLCS is based on a number of factors, none of which is the sole determinant of eligibility.  A College application together with evidence of the basis of admission (as stated below) will be required. Falsification or failure to furnish correct information will result in the denial of admission.

Some programmes have specific admission requirements. Prospective students should refer to the relevant areas of the catalogue for information on programme-specific requirements.

Specially Admittance
Persons who wish to register for a specific course/courses can register as Specially Admitted Students. Such persons must satisfy the matriculation requirements and pay all fees including tuition fees.

Admission to the Cipriani College of Labour and Cooperative Studies shall be open to applicants who fall into any of the following categories.

  • Secondary school graduates holding five (5) or more CXC/GCE passes including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Graduates of CCLCS programmes.
  • Mature students (25 years and older) with considerable experience in the relevant field (documentation and recommendations from employers are required).A combination of the above.

Persons who wish to register for a specific course/courses can register as Specially Admitted Students. Such persons must satisfy the matriculation requirements and pay all fees including tuition fees.

A. For Incoming First Year
1. Secure the Application for Enrollment online at https://www.cclcs.edu.tt
2. Pay the non-refundable application fee of $100.00 (MAKE PAYMENT HERE)
3. Upload the following documents

  • Duly completed Application for Admission
  • Required admission documents
  • Birth Certificate
  • Marriage Certificate (if married)
  • Picture ID
  • CXC/GCE Certificate

B. For Re-Admission

A previously admitted degree-seeking student who has not enrolled in any course at CCLCS for two (2) consecutive semesters is eligible for re-entry. The student must
1. Submit the re-entry application (MAKE PAYMENT HERE)
2. Pay the non-refundable application fee of $100.00 (MAKE PAYMENT HERE)
3. Meet the current admission and programme requirements at the time of re-entry.

For Returning Students

A previously admitted degree-seeking student who has completed a programme/level. The student must

  3. Meet the current programme requirements at the time of re-entry.

Applicants who have not passed English and/or Mathematics at the CXC/GCE level will be required to sit the Diagnostic Test.

Applicants who fail the Diagnostic Test will be required to pursue Developmental English and/or Mathematics before registering for ENG110 and/or MAT100

Deferred Applications

Applicants who have not taken their space after one year will be required to re-apply.  They will be subject to the rules and regulations in effect at the time of entry. 

Leave of Absence

Students are permitted to apply for a leave of absence from a programme for medical, financial, or other personal reasons.  Such leave however shall not exceed a period of one academic year or two semesters.  Leave of Absence can only be granted by the Registrar in consultation with the Department Dean.  Any absence beyond the year would require the student to re-apply for admission.  The student will then be subject to all regulations and policies in existence at the time of the re-application.  

All Bachelor and Associate students are required to register each semester while Certificate and Diploma Students register once for the academic year.

No student will be allowed to enter a class unless he/she has registered with the College.
Students are required to register on the date/dates and at the time/times designated by the College. A late registration fee of $300 will be charged to students registering after the official registration period.

Students are to be guided by the program catalogue year of entry in their selection of courses. The catalogue year refers to the academic year in which you commenced your current program of study.

  1. Collect Academic Advising form and Course Structure 
  2. Obtain your transcript 
  3. Obtain Library Clearance
  4. See you Head of Department/Advisor for Academic Advising
  5. Obtain Financial Clearance (pay your tuition/registration fees and submit your GATE form)

All students are required to have a Student Identification card.  Students will be issued with this card at registration.

 

Student are required to present their identification cards to gain admission to the College compound, Library, and write examinations.  No exceptions will be made.  The College Identification Card will be replaced for a fee of $40.  Students will be expected to submit new photographs for replacement cards. 

Students will not be allowed to write final examinations unless they present their College ID card to the examinations invigilator.
