Tavornna Nelson – Criminologist and Director at Social Intelligence Research and Consultancy (SoINT)

 

Tavornna Nelson is a master’s student in the Criminology and Criminal Justice program at UWI, St. Augustine Campus. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies, minor in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Tavornna is a Canadian CARICOM Leadership and Erasmus+ scholar. She is also the Director of a local think tank- Social Intelligence Research and Consultancy. Her academic areas of interest are policing, gang culture, interculturalism, border management, and policy development. Tavornna considers herself a forever student and is currently working towards contributing to positive policy development practices in the Caribbean and the global south by extension.
