AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS
EMPLOYER-PAID TUITION
It is the responsibility of the student to present proof of tuition payment or intent to pay tuition on the part of the employer to the Accounts Department.
SCHOLARSHIPS
At present there are three categories of Scholarships tenable at the Cipriani College of Labour and Co-operative Studies.
TRADE UNION, CREDIT UNION &CO-OPERATIVE / NGO SCHOLARSHIPS
Some students are sponsored by their respective organizations (trade unions/credit unions/co-operatives/NGO’s).Payment is usually determined by the sponsoring agency. Students must authorize the College to release their grades to the sponsoring agency.
EASTERN CREDIT UNIONBURSARY AWARDS
Awards of $2,500.00 each are made by the Eastern Credit Union Co-operative Society Limited to three Second Year, Full-time students reading for the Associate of Arts Degree in the following fields of study.• Co-operative Studies (two awards)• Labour Studies (one award)Students must have attained at least a “B” average in the first year of studies. Application forms are available in the Admissions Office.
BOARD OF GOVERNORS’ SCHOLARSHIPS
The Board of Governors of Cipriani College of Labour and Co-operative Studies annually award a predetermined number of scholarships to recently graduated high school students meeting the minimum academic qualifications. A certain amount of these scholarships are set aside specifically for Tobago residents. A committee established for this purpose makes the selection of recipients. The scholarship provides financial assistance for books, for a period of two academic years at CCLCS. Students attending the College on this scholarship will be required to maintain full-time status and a minimum grade point average of 2.5 as determined by the administration for continuation on the scholarship.
