Deferrals

Admitted applicants who, for one reason or another, are unable to take up their place in the year for which they are accepted, will be allowed to defer their admission for one year, provided that a non-refundable $200.00 deposit is made to secure the space. The deposit will off-set any fees payable upon registering.

 

Re-admission of Deferred Applicants

After the one-year period has elapsed, deferred applicants must complete and submit a Re-entry Application form.  They will be subject to the rules and regulations in effect at the time of re-entry.

 

Re-entry after Leave of Absence

Students whose attendance is interrupted by two or more semesters must re-apply for admission to the College and will be subject to rules and regulations that are in effect at the time to re-entry.  If they attended another tertiary institution during the period of absence and wish to apply for exemptions, they should submit an academic transcript and course outlines for the relevant courses, upon re-applying.

 

Caricom Admission

In addition to the documents required of all other applicants, Caricom applicants will be required to submit the following:

  • A letter guaranteeing financial support from a parent/guardian, employer or other sponsoring agent and other acceptable evidence of financial support (e.g., a bank statement) as determined by the College.
  •  A scholarship letter from their government or other sponsoring agency.

 

International/Foreign Admission 

Applicants from outside of the Caribbean region will be required to submit the following:

  • A valid student visa

 

  • The documents required at 1 & 2 above (Caricom Admission).

 

  • In order to obtain a Student Visa, a student must submit the following documents to the Immigration Department of the Ministry of National Security:   

Ø  Letter of acceptance from the College

Ø  A valid passport

Ø  A return ticket to country of residence.

Ø  Security Bond, detailing how the student plans to finance his/her stay in Trinidad and Tobago

 


Registration

All students are required to register annually and in person.  No student will be allowed to enter a class unless he/she has registered with the College.  Each student must obtain a Student I.D Card in order to complete the registration process.

 

Students are required to register on the days and at the times designated by the College, as scheduled by the Admissions Office.

 

Late Registration

A late registration fee of $40.00 will be payable by students registering after the official registration period. Falsification or failure to furnish correct information will result in the denial of admission or immediate expulsion.

EXAMINATIONS

The Examinations Unit administers examinations four (4) times per year.

End-of-semester Examinations
  • First 3 weeks in January for semester 1

 

  • Last 3 weeks in June for semester 2

 

Make-up Examinations

These examinations afford students who were unable to sit the end-of-semester examinations for legitimate reasons the opportunity to do so. 

  • Last week in March

 

  • Last week in September
